Rob is great to deal with, often with import companies communication can be a major hurdle as Japan is 17 hours ahead. Their businesses open for the day when most Canadian businesses are closing. So having an importer that can hammer out a deal with a dealership at 1am is vital when your dream car is on the line. In addition Rob is very knowledgeable about the cars he brings in and my trust in him has been rewarded multiple times in the form of super clean imports that have been everything I hoped for. Rob has brought in 2 of my dream vehicles for me thus far, as well as a remarkably clean Evo for my friend I had referred to him. I will continue to go to Rob for future imports and cannot recommend him enough to anyone else who is in the market.
So my car is on a boat on its way from Japan as we speak, and I wanted to repost my experience with importing. Took me a long time to get it all together and figure out exactly what I wanted, and Rob was amazing. Answered all of my questions, gave me suggestions and info, and got me exactly what I wanted perfectly within my budget I had laid out. It’s my JZX110 Toyota Mark II IR-V. It was my birthday present for myself, but with a few shipping delays out of our control, it’s on its way and I love it! It’s in great shape, and I’m counting the days until it’s in my driveway lol

I'd like to take the time to thank Rob Fujisan at JDM North for finding and importing one of my dream cars for me. 2001 Mitsubishi EVO VII GSR. It's in pretty great shape, with only 80,000kms on it. Rob's service was excellent! Professional, friendly, honest and prompt. If you're looking to import, this is the only guy you should want working for you. Within 36hours of getting the car home it had passed inspection and been registered. Absolutely thrilled with it.

Rob is well known in the community for Being the best at what he does and after my experience with him I couldn’t agree more. I recently imported a Nissan Silvia through him and he pushed hard to accommodate my budget and ensure only quality with my car. Through the process of importing Rob explained and made every thing easy to me as a first time importer. All I can say is JDM north is the best in the province at what they do!ted my CL1 Accord through JDM North and I am BEYOND happy with the car and the service. Going into this, I was definitely stressing out over what kind of car I wanted. I was worried about cars having problems, I passed on a lot of nice examples just because they had weren't perfect and I was also extremely picky (sorry Rob!) In the end this grade RA came up with a little bit more KMs than I originally hoped for. RA means the car has been in an accident before and never in my life I would've thought to settle for an RA. Rob sent his guy over to check the car out before the auction and everything checked out, looked pretty good to me so I put my trust in Rob and pulled the trigger. Not only did I go underbudget but this this car has exceeded all my expectations in the quality and the condition its in. My advice if you're looking to import a car through Rob, trust him when he says its a good car. Rob is a busy man though so he might take some time to get back to you sometimes and thats okay!! 10/10 would import again
Rob has been nothing short of amazing throughout my experience with JDM North. I came in without a clue and Rob was able to guide me through the process. Importing my first JDM, I had a lot of questions and doubts, but Rob was always very patient and knowledgeable about the questions I had. We imported this car at a very tough time, however, Rob made sure that I was comfortable and that I wouldn’t regret my purchase. He stressed the importance of waiting for the right one as he genuinely cared about getting me the right car. Not only was he professional, but he treated me as if I was a close friend. Needless to say, I don’t regret a thing! The car is everything I could’ve imagined for my price point and even more. I will definitely be using Rob and his services when I decide to import again.

Recently, I imported a car through JDM North. I was skeptical at first being a small business as well as having to shell out thousands of dollars to a basically unknown person in exchange for a car that I couldn't even see run, let alone test drive. Rob made it all super simple and stress free and had a lot of patience with me as I constantly asked a ton of questions and had a lot of concerns. Rob doesn't mess around when he says he has an eye for quality. There we multiple occasions where we were going to bid on a car and Rob steered me clear of it because of even the most minor of infractions on the car. After months of rifling through auction listings, we found the Evo 8 I have always wanted. Rob did an excellent job of getting every last detail possible on the car and we won the bid for under my budget. Rob was very punctual as far as getting me paperwork that needed to be signed and the necessary information required. Once the car hit the shores of Vancouver, the port was being difficult, but Rob very professionally dealt with it without me having to do anything. Rob had a very good list of contacts for me to arrange transportation and inspection of the vehicle which saved me a lot of time having to research. When i finally saw the car for the first time, it was amazing. It was everything I thought it was going to be and better. It passed inspection with flying colours and the inspector even messaged Rob ranting about how clean the car was. And mind you, this was an "R" grade car. But with the research that Rob did with his contacts in Japan, we were able to secure this insanely clean car for a price tag well under what I believe it is worth. When I went to insure the vehicle, there was a key document missing that was needed to register the vehicle to Canada. I called Rob and he was just about to leave his house, but he went back inside, found the missing document, sent it to me and insisted he sat on the phone with me until I had it and was 100% good to go with registering the vehicle. If you're throwing around the idea of importing a car, I very strongly recommend that you go through JDM North. You wont be disappointed.
